Psalm 143:5-6 "I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah."
Psalm 28:7 "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."

A Welcome Note (Last Updated April 30, 2012)
In the next week I will continue to update the site with new guest sermons, songs, and recipes.
Praise God!! It was our prayer that people would check this website out. Guess what? You did! Thank you for taking the time to take a look at our humble attempt at spreading God's Word on the internet. Why are we calling this site Missionary Baptist Musings? The first part is easy, that is what we are, Missionary Baptists. The word Musings comes from the word "muse" which means "to ponder, consider, deliberate at length, declare, complain, commune, meditate, pray and to speak with".
We pray that all who read the sermons, teachings and articles will do just that. We want you to look at what we say and muse over it. Test it by the Bible to see if the things we say are true. Acts 17:10-11 "And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they recieved the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
We want to also tell you about a Missionary Baptist Bible Study that will be started in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, 83805. It will be starting July 10, 2011, at 2:00 PM. For right now, it will be at my home. Please e-mail me or call me. (Information under "Contact Us".)
We will be starting this Bible Study in the near future, with authorization from the Cordova Missionary Baptist Church in Sacramento, California. Our church membership is there.
We would like to invite everyone who reads this. We will also be printing up flyers and tracts for distribution in Bonners Ferry.
The long term goal of this Bible Study is to see if there is enough interest for it to evolve, Lord willing, into one of the Lord's New Testament Churches.
We want to make it clear that no matter what, we are not here to glorify ourselves. We are here to spread His Gospel and to glorify, praise and worship Allmighty God. We are here to tell people about God's grace and the sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:18-19 "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation recieved by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God."
If you are visiting this sight you will notice that there are no fancy banners, no eye popping graphics and no mind shattering music. That's just not who we are. We are not about the "flash", we are about the substance.
2 Corinthians 4:1-7 "Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have recieved mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of the darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
Come and join us. If you can't, feel free to read the articles in this site. Feel free also to contact us with any questions you might have about us or any of the articles. We will try to answer them to the best of our ability.
New sermons/teachings will be added twice a month. The previous ones will be put in the "Archives" section.
The Lord said in Matthew 28:19-20; "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." This was the great commision given to His Church.
Acts 16:4-5 "And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily."
If the Lord had one of His churches on every street corner, I believe it would be pleasing to Him.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of "churches" in the world that are not His. They claim to be, but they are "all flash and no substance."
Please be warned, not all "churches" out there that claim to be Jesus Christ's are His. There are a lot out there that are false churches and they teach the doctrines of man instead of the doctrines of God.
We will only be teaching and preaching from God's Word. One of the first tests that you give to a "church" is to see what they base their beliefs on. What do they preach and teach from. If they are using anything except the Bible then they are not one of His Churches. There are other tests, but this will do for a start.
We will not use any other book or books, and try to tell you that it is "more revelations" from God. His Holy Bible is our only rule of faith and order.
If a teaching or doctrine is not in the Bible, it is made up by man, and the True & Living God has no part of it.
Take a look at what the Bible, and the Lord specifically, says about some of these people; Mark 7:5-7: "Then the Pharises and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands? He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." I suggest you read not only these three verses, but all of Mark 7:1-13.
We will never add to or take away from His Word. Revelations 22:18-19 gives a warning for all to heed, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Read what Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:15-17 "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
Don't count on man's books to tell you about God. Count on God's Book, His Holy Bible, to tell you about the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us all we will ever need.
Finally I want to clarify what version of the Bible I believe is His inspired word. I believe it is the King James version only. That is what we will teach and preach from.
Whether you have a King James version of the Bible or not, please come. If you don't have a Bible at all, please come.
As Jesus said in Matthew 11:27-30 "All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
In fact there are only two types of people in the world. Sinners and sinners saved by God's grace and mercy.
You might be thinking right now; "That can't be true. I have never sinned. I'm a good person". If you are thinking that, you are decieving yourself and calling God a liar.
Don't be decieved. God hates sin. Sin seperates you from God. Let's look at what the Bible says in Isaiah 59:1-2 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have seperated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
So what is sin? 1 John 3:4 says "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." Sin is the transgression of God's holy law.
Is there any hope for the sinner? Is there any way to not be seperated from God? The answer to that question is yes, and God has supplied the only way. And that way is Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Colossians 1:12-14 "Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins".
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Ephesians 2:8-9 says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Mark 1:14-15 "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kindom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
The only way to be forgiven of your sins, and to be in fellowship with God, is through Jesus Christ.
Sin also has a consequence that we all must face. That consequence is death. We all will die. The question is "where will you spend eternity".
Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day."
If you have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will spend eternity with him.
If you do not, you will spend eternity forever seperated from God in torment. Please also read Luke 16:19-31 and Revelation 20:10-15.
The question to ask yourself is "what kind of sinner am I". I pray that you are the kind that has acknowledged and repented of their sins. The kind who has asked God for forgiveness. The kind who is truly trusting in the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
As for myself. I will tell you what kind of sinner I am. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid the price for my sins. He shed His precious, sinless blood and died on the cross for me, but rose again on the third day. He is sitting now on the right hand of the Father making intercession for me.
Jesus is the only difference between a sinner and a saved sinner.
Praise God for His love and mercy toward me a saved sinner.
